Almost 50 - All over Montreal

This is what happens when you get a law that few in the population support - Almost 50 demonstrations on every corner of the city.

It's part of the 'casseroles' call to arms in Quebec right now - at 8pm in the evening, people appear on their balconies, in the street, on the sidewalk with their pans and start making noise. Pots, pans, mixing spoons, horns, whistles - any and all are used to create as much noise as possible to let everyone know their discontent.

I call them the 'Almost 50s' because in my neighbourhood (show in the photo), they were mocking the 50 person limit for demonstrations contained in Bill 78, chanting 'almost 50, almost 50'. 

Maybe with all that noise, someone in the government might actually listen. That would be an improvement.
